Salesforce has spent years becoming the system where customer data, workflows, and business processes live.
Claudeforce changes what happens next.
Instead of asking users to keep coming back to the CRM, Salesforce is now bringing that context into Claude. That means sellers can work with accounts, opportunities, pipeline, meetings, and follow-ups from an AI interface, while Salesforce continues to handle the data and rules underneath.
The first big step is Salesforce in Claude, with 37 prebuilt sales skills built around real sales work.
So Claudeforce is not just another Salesforce integration. It is Salesforce testing what work looks like when the CRM stays in the background and the interface moves somewhere else.
Claudeforce is the partnership between Salesforce and Anthropic that connects Claude with Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, and actions.
Instead of using Claude as a separate AI assistant, Claudeforce allows it to work with the business context already stored in Salesforce.
The first product introduced under this partnership is Salesforce in Claude, a Salesforce-built plugin that brings Salesforce capabilities directly into Claude.
The two terms are related, but they are not the same:
In short, Claudeforce is the larger collaboration, while Salesforce in Claude is how users are beginning to experience it today.
Next, let’s look at what is happening behind the scenes when Claude connects with Salesforce.
Claudeforce connects Claude to Salesforce through AIforce, Headless 360, and MCP.
The flow is simple:
Salesforce makes relevant data, workflows, business logic, and actions available outside its traditional interface.
Model Context Protocol gives Claude a standard way to access the Salesforce capabilities available to the user.
Claude can use the connected Salesforce information to understand requests and decide what needs to happen.
Any supported update or action is routed through Salesforce, where existing permissions, workflows, and business rules still apply.
So, Claude handles the interaction and reasoning, while Salesforce continues to provide the data, rules, and actions behind it.
Claudeforce is built to let Claude work with Salesforce as a connected business system, not just as a source of copied CRM data. The current Salesforce in Claude experience brings together Salesforce context, Claude’s reasoning, and governed actions.
Claude can work with Salesforce information such as accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and related records available to the user.
That means users do not have to manually copy CRM data into Claude every time they need help with a task. Claude can work from the Salesforce context already connected to the conversation.
Salesforce in Claude includes 37 prebuilt sales skills created around common sales workflows.
These skills give Claude predefined ways to work with Salesforce data for areas such as account research, meeting preparation, pipeline management, deal planning, follow-ups, and renewals.
We will break these skills down in a separate section later in the blog.
Salesforce in Claude includes connectors for both Salesforce and Slack.
This gives Claude access to more than CRM records alone. It can also work with relevant conversations and collaboration context from Slack, depending on what the user is allowed to access.
Claudeforce is not limited to returning everything as a text response.
Claude can create task-specific views and interfaces based on the Salesforce information it is working with. Instead of navigating through a fixed CRM screen, users can get a view built around the task they are trying to complete.
Salesforce in Claude includes a setup skill that learns details such as the user’s role and book of business.
That context helps tailor the experience around the accounts, opportunities, and responsibilities that matter to that user instead of starting from the same generic setup for everyone.
Claude can also send supported actions back to Salesforce.
Those actions still pass through Salesforce, so the organization’s existing permissions, workflows, business rules, and governance remain in place.
This is an important distinction: Claude can help users work with Salesforce, but Salesforce still controls what data and actions they are allowed to access.
Claudeforce is mainly built around day-to-day sales work. With Salesforce in Claude, sellers can use Salesforce context directly inside Claude instead of constantly moving between tools.
Here are some of the main tasks it supports:
Claude can pull together relevant Salesforce context around an account, prospect, or opportunity. This helps sellers understand the relationship, recent activity, open opportunities, and other useful details before they reach out or prepare for the next step.
Users can bring together account history, opportunity details, recent activity, and related context before a call. Instead of searching through multiple Salesforce records, Claude can help summarize what matters for the meeting.
Claude can help sellers review open opportunities and understand where attention may be needed. That can include changes in deal status, missing information, stalled activity, or signals that may affect the next step.
Users can work through the details of an active opportunity, including stakeholders, risks, next steps, and actions needed to move the deal forward. The plan can be built using the Salesforce context already connected to Claude.
Claude can help turn meeting context into follow-up work. That may include summarizing the discussion, drafting follow-up content, capturing next steps, and preparing updates for Salesforce.
Where supported, Claude can propose updates to Salesforce records and send those changes back through Salesforce. The user can review the proposed action before it is written to the CRM.
Teams can use existing account, opportunity, and customer context to prepare for renewals and identify potential growth opportunities. This gives sellers a clearer view of what is happening across the account before the next conversation.
Overall, Claudeforce brings common Salesforce sales tasks into Claude, so users can work with CRM context without opening and checking every record manually.
Claudeforce and Agentforce are connected, but they are not the same product.
Claudeforce is the Salesforce and Anthropic partnership that brings Salesforce data and capabilities into Claude.
Agentforce is Salesforce’s platform for building, deploying, and managing AI agents across sales, service, commerce, Slack, and other business workflows.
Here is the difference at a glance:
Yes.
Claude is also available inside Agentforce and can serve as a reasoning model for Agentforce experiences. So Claudeforce does not replace Agentforce.
A simple way to separate them is:
Agentforce is where businesses build and run agents. Claudeforce is how Salesforce and Anthropic are bringing Salesforce capabilities into Claude and Claude deeper into the Salesforce ecosystem.
Claudeforce is not tied to a single interface. Salesforce and Anthropic are bringing Claude into the places where people already work, while Salesforce continues to provide the data, workflows, permissions, and actions behind the scenes.
Salesforce in Claude brings Salesforce context directly into Claude.
Once connected, Claude can work with the Salesforce data and workflows available to the user, while existing Salesforce permissions and business rules continue to apply. This is the main customer-facing product launched under the Claudeforce partnership.
Claude Tag brings Claude into Slack conversations.
Teams can tag Claude inside a channel and let it work with the context already being discussed there. It can help with collaborative tasks, remember relevant channel context, and support workflows without requiring the conversation to move into a separate AI tool.
Slack Code brings coding agents into shared Slack channels.
Claude Code is one of the founding agents supported in Slack Code, allowing developers, teammates, and AI coding agents to work around the same task in a shared environment instead of keeping AI coding sessions isolated.
Claude also sits behind several other Slack experiences. Salesforce identifies Claude as the default model for Slack AI and Slackbot, alongside its role in Claude Tag and Slack Code.
This is the broader direction behind Claudeforce: Salesforce does not always have to be the interface users open first. The same Salesforce context and controls can increasingly be available through Claude, Slack, and other supported surfaces.
Claudeforce is not a direct pipe between Claude and a Salesforce database. There are several Salesforce layers between the AI interface and the systems underneath it.
Together, Headless 360, MCP, AIforce, and the Salesforce Trust Boundary determine what Claude can reach, how it reaches it, and what happens when an action needs to go back into Salesforce.
The first part is Headless 360.
It separates Salesforce capabilities from the screens users normally associate with the CRM. Data, workflows, business logic, and actions can be made available to other interfaces without requiring someone, or an AI agent, to click through Salesforce pages.
That is what makes experiences such as Salesforce in Claude possible. Salesforce stays underneath, but the interaction can happen somewhere else.
Once Salesforce capabilities are available outside the traditional UI, Claude needs a way to understand and use them.
That is where Model Context Protocol (MCP) comes in.
Salesforce MCP servers can expose approved tools and capabilities in a format AI agents can discover and call. Instead of building a separate integration for every individual AI workflow, MCP gives Claude a standard route into the Salesforce capabilities made available to it.
AIforce sits across this broader setup as Salesforce's enterprise layer for making its platform available to AI models and agents.
It brings together technologies such as MCP servers, APIs, and CLI tools, allowing AI experiences to connect with Salesforce data and workflows through supported interfaces rather than relying on one-off integrations every time.
Claude is also available through Amazon Bedrock within the Salesforce Trust Boundary.
For organizations, this means Claude can be used alongside Salesforce's existing security and governance controls rather than creating an entirely separate environment for AI access.
This is especially relevant when Salesforce data is subject to stricter internal or industry requirements.
The simplest way to look at it is this:
Headless 360 makes Salesforce capabilities portable. MCP gives Claude a way to call them. AIforce provides the enterprise layer connecting those pieces. The Salesforce Trust Boundary helps govern how Claude is used inside Salesforce.
That combination is what lets Claudeforce move Salesforce work beyond the traditional CRM screen without separating it from the Salesforce platform underneath.
The most useful part of Claudeforce is not simply that Claude can connect to Salesforce.
It is that users can get to Salesforce context, work with it, and take supported actions without treating the CRM interface as the starting point for every task.
A lot of sales work starts with gathering information. The account is in Salesforce. The conversation may be in Slack. The meeting details are somewhere else. Then someone has to pull it all together before they can actually do anything with it.
Claudeforce can bring relevant Salesforce context into Claude, cutting down the amount of manual searching and switching required before the work starts.
Salesforce can remain the system holding the customer data, workflows, and business rules without being the only interface people use to reach them. With Claudeforce, that interaction can happen through Claude, Slack, Salesforce itself, and other supported AI surfaces.
That gives teams more flexibility in where Salesforce work begins.
Connecting an AI assistant to enterprise systems usually means dealing with authentication, APIs, tools, permissions, and custom integration logic. With AIforce and MCP, Salesforce provides a more standardized path for making its capabilities available to AI agents.
That does not remove integration work completely, but it reduces the need to invent a new connection model for every use case.
Salesforce in Claude ships with 37 prebuilt sales skills. That gives sales teams a starting point for common workflows instead of requiring every Claude experience to begin with custom prompts, custom tools, and custom workflow design.
Teams can start with the packaged skills and build further as the product expands.
Using Claude does not mean bypassing Salesforce. Supported actions still go back through Salesforce, where existing permissions, workflows, business rules, and governance determine what can happen.
That matters because the interface may be changing, but the system controlling the business process is still Salesforce.
This may be the most interesting benefit of Claudeforce. Salesforce can continue doing what it is good at: holding customer data, running workflows, enforcing rules, and recording business activity. Users do not necessarily have to spend all day inside the CRM to benefit from it.
The interface can change. The Salesforce foundation stays underneath.
Yes. Salesforce in Claude is now available in beta.
Anthropic released Salesforce in Claude on September 15, 2026, with 37 prebuilt sales skills for tasks such as account research, call preparation, pipeline review, and CRM updates.
Salesforce followed with an update on September 16 stating that Salesforce in Claude is now available to customers in beta after being tested with companies including Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora.
There is one important detail around access.
Anthropic’s current documentation says Salesforce in Claude is available on paid Claude plans for organizations approved by Salesforce through the beta sign-up process. It currently works in Claude Chat and Claude Cowork on web and desktop.
The current beta is focused on sales.
Users get:
Salesforce has already confirmed that Claudeforce will expand beyond sales.
Future Salesforce in Claude capabilities are expected to include:
Salesforce says additional prebuilt skills will begin rolling out from late 2026.
So, Claudeforce is no longer just an announced partnership or pilot. Salesforce in Claude is now in beta, with sales as the first use case and more Salesforce clouds planned next.
Claudeforce is another sign that Salesforce is becoming less tied to a single interface.
Users may start in Claude or Slack, but the real work still depends on what sits behind them: the quality of the data, the logic in the workflows, the permissions, and how well Salesforce is connected to the rest of the stack.
That is the part MIDCAI focuses on through Agentforce implementation, Headless 360, and Salesforce integration services.
The front end can keep changing. The backend still has to be solid.
Claudeforce looks interesting. Making it work with your Salesforce setup is the real part. Let’s talk.
