Power of listening in a small setup!

Feeling unheard even after working around only a few people?

A superpower which is often missed or ignored when we work in a small set up is listening. The kind that doesn’t mean just nodding to someone’s talks but the real kind of listening that creates an impact on the other person who wants to be actually heard. Don’t you think it is high time that we do not just say “uh-huh” or “I get it” instead of taking a pause and saying something meaningful after listening?

Working in a small set up or group should create an impact where every voice should be heard. Some of the best ideas actually come from “Hey, what if we…” moments.

A few things to remind ourselves:

  • Everyone wants to be heard, not just nodded at
  • Ignore small signals now, deal with big messes later
  • Feedback ≠ criticism—it’s usually someone caring enough to speak up

So yeah, we’re learning to slow down and listen. Less ego, more “tell me more.”

Turns out, that’s where the good stuff happens.
